Accommodations.

It’s a tiered system when it comes to lodging each year. Here’s how it works: original Earth Day participants will get priority lodging in the main house. Returning Oktoberfest patrons then can choose from guest house (and garage) lodging, an auxiliary guest house, transit van accommodations or call dibs on camping ground. New Oktoberfest patrons can snap up any remaining spots.

If our grounds are full, then you’re camping or finding alternative lodging nearby.

The good news: That hasn’t been a problem yet. Between tents and roofs, we’ve got enough room for 36-38 people without creeping into common spaces. At that number, you may not get your own room or tent, but you’ll have a spot if you want it. In 2021 and 2022, we had 26-28 people (Oktoberfest makes your memory hazy) and had tent space leftover, plus room for 1-2 more tents. In 2022, rain made what we had a little damper than we’d have liked, so we added the second auxiliary house down the road for drier accommodations. That worked out quite well, and now we’re really spaced out (in the literal and figurative sense).

If close quarters with friends and strangers alike is more than you can bear, you can also go the AirBnB or bed and breakfast route nearby, or stay at the closest hotels, either in Redstone (10 min) or Carbondale (30 min).

The House.

There are technically two guest rooms in the house. One with a full bed, and one with a day bed that has two twin mattresses. There is also a couch upstairs, but you’ll be dealing with the early birds waking your ass up. There are two available full bathrooms for guests in the house.

Guest House(s).

The Jester Brew Haus includes a full bed and a couch. It also has enough floor space for one large air mattress or two smaller ones. There is one full bathroom in the guest house. It is also where the bar is located. So it’s got that going for it, which is nice. We’ll also convert the connected garage below it into a cozy (so cozy!), sleep-able space during the weekend. We’ll also have a 3-bedroom house rented nearby for overflow for those who prefer roofs to tents (no judgment).

Tents.

Become one with nature. There are decent spots to pitch a tent on the grounds (and we can provide those tents). There are campgrounds nearby, but a lot of them will be closing for the winter around the same time as our weekend festivities.

AirBnB

There are plenty of options year round. If you can snag a place in Marble, that’s perfect. Redstone isn’t bad. Beyond that, you’re looking at 30+ min away.
